The Plex,, the premier athletic complex in the Northeast Indian, is now hiring part-time Guest Services Team Members.  Shifts would typically consist of a combination of the following hours: Monday through Friday 3pm – 12am, Saturday & Sunday 7am – 11pm. To qualify for a position you must be able to commit to a minimum of 20 hours availability per week.

Responsibilities include:

  • Greeting guests (either in person or over the phone) and answering any questions they may have; which may include enquiries addressing field availability, tournaments, programs, classes, camps and other events The Plex may host from time to time

  • Cash handling with relation to field rentals, membership sales, camp, class & league registrations

  • Assist in the resolution of field utilization issues including conflicts and unauthorized use as they transpire

  • Concessions, Bar and Shop operations

  • Enforcement of the Athletic Complex rules and regulations to ensure the safety, security and enjoyment of all guests

  • Actively promote and sell Plex programs

  • Pride and ownership of the facility to ensure we continue to be truly “World Class”

  • Effectively demonstrating and communicating our Mission Statement and Guiding Principles to all visitors

  • Resolve any and all customer issues that do not require the attention of Senior Management

  • Support the Senior Management Team from time to time with assistance on special projects

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of front line customer service and or Management skills.

  • Ability to work with guests of all age ranges and ethnicities

  • Able to answer questions and retain information in a fast paced environment

  • Great team player who is committed to working with their fellow employees to make The Plex the premier athletic complex in the United States

  • listening skills and communication

  • Basic computer skills (MS office and online asp software)

  • Ability to focus and get the job done despite distraction or adverse circumstance

  • Spanish language skills a plus

Pay rate is $8.50/hr -$10.00 with future potential for an increase based on performance. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older, have a valid drivers license, be legally permitted to work in the United States and provide documents substantiating this status. All employees are required to undergo both a Indiana State and United States Federal criminal background check prior to commencing work.

Project Manager

The Plex,, the premier athletic complex in the Northeast Indiana, is now hiring Full-time Project Manager Team Members.  Shifts would typically consist of minimum of 40 + hours per week.   

The Project Manage position is the driving force of the success of The Plex mission and programs. It is very demanding, creative and pro-active position that has great potential for growth. Project Managers are responsible in assisting the General Manager in indoor and outdoor programs.  This position requires excellent administrative, organizational and communicational skills. 

Responsibilities include:

  • All Guest Services duties above plus..

  • Oversee all aspect of League, Tournament, clinic, and events at the PLEX.

  • Increase Individual and team participate in Plex Programs

  • Organize and oversee events at the Plex

  • Create and execute Marketing and advertising plans throughout the year to increase profitability of Plex programs.

  • Build relationships with local company in advertising to help the growth of programs.

  • Oversee all scheduling and communication of programs

  • Facilitate and communicate with program employees.

  • Generate new and unique ideas into the Plex mission.

 

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of Sales and Management skills. Experience is sports marketing and management is a Plus.

  • Great multitasking skills

  • Ability to think "outside the box" to achieve a goal

  • Pro-active ability

The Plex  is currently looking for referees to service our ever growing indoor and outdoor leagues and tournaments.  Training is provided, but refereeing experience is greatly desired.

The  Plex offers leagues seven days a week, with weekday game times ranging from 5pm to 12am, and weekend game times ranging from 7am to 11pm.

 Referees will be paid between $9-$20 a game depending on experience and availability.
